Roger joined the team bringing with him over 25 years extensive experience in architecture & building design. He is proficient in 2D AutoCAD and has a sound knowledge of the building regulations.
Having been a director in a previous practice for several years Roger has a clear understanding of the construction industry as a whole and all the challenges that go with it.
He has worked on a wide range of residential projects, from small extensions through to high end bespoke single dwellings, commercial developments, and everything between, focusing mainly on construction detailing and building control.
Adam studied architecture here in Cornwall at Falmouth University to post graduate level and is ARB & RIBA Part 1 Accredited. With a strong foundation in architecture principles built upon a background in Carpentry, Adam has a keen eye for detail, firsthand knowledge & experience of the construction industry and an extensive set of creative skills. His passion lies within the residential sector, with a drive for finding sustainable solutions to clients wants and needs.
During Adam’s tenure as a Carpenter, he had the opportunity to work alongside architects, and found their work and capacity for creativity exceptionally intriguing. As his interest and passion for architecture grew, having been given him a distinctive insight into the construction industry, Adam decided to embark on a different career path and pursue architecture as a career.
‘University has given me an invaluable skillset to be able to take a project through to completion, whilst being able to understand a clients needs and aspirations and apply this to the context of a site. Combined with my construction background, I am able to make my designs successfully come to life in the built environment.’
Silke has been full time with ark since 2021, previously part time from 2016. Silke previously trained as an accountant, completing her AAT technician level receiving her MAAT qualifications, as well as completing payroll in 2010. In 2010 Silke worked for one of the largest suppliers for letting and property management software. Where she helped customers daily with their accounting queries.
Silke’s role at ark is the day to day running of the office, and is responsible for the accounts, payroll and administration duties.
Silke helps the office to run smoothly and is very liked by the staff and customers. When Silke is not in the office she is normally out walking the office dog Kody.
